The NFL has made the decision to enhance its regular season from 16 to 17 games, for a total of 18 weeks, taking into account each team’s bye week. This marks the first change to the season structure since the 1978 campaign ushered in an era of 16 regular-season and four preseason games.

Betcris, Latin America’s leading sports gambling platform and the NFL’s official sponsor in the region is getting ready for the new season and is excited about its opportunity to be able to continue as an exclusive sponsor for the league in Spanish Speaking Latin American Countries.

Because of the enhancement of the regular season, the NFL pre-season has also been affected and will go from four to three weeks. The Super Bowl, of which Betcris is an exclusive sponsor in Spanish Speaking Latin American Countries, would also fall behind one week, so Super Bowl LVI will be played on February 13, 2022, and not on February 6, as originally planned. The full schedule was released on May 12.,

The NFL regular season kicks off on Thursday, September 9 with a late game. The regular season ends on Sunday, January 9, 2022. Super Bowl LVI will be played on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

Randall Aguilar, Head of Betcris Sponsorships, states, “We’re proud to be a part of this story. Betcris is an official sponsor of the NFL at a historic time, where the decision has been made to change the format of the league for the first time in more than four decades; a change that’s going to bring more games, more emotions, more records and more chances to wager.”

Aguilar adds, “We see this as a great opportunity and as excellent news, and it is now our turn to adjust together with the league to make sure that our Betcris customers and family also receive the benefits and feel the excitement of this extended season and the possibilities that open up from this change and this new course that the NFL has decided to take.”
