The global gaming industry continues to draw more excitement as companies and the technology used evolves. There is always something new being introduced that alters the landscape and adds a new touch of entertainment for consumers. Staying on top of the changes is important for everyone involved in the industry, and the upcoming SiGMA Americas Virtual event, which will be held later this month, will be an opportunity for the best in the industry to showcase what is driving growth and innovation. Betcris, the leading sports betting and iGaming operator, will be there, as well, with Betcris Head of New Business Development Fernando Garita participating in a panel on the challenges facing gaming expansion in Latin America.

The SiGMA Americas Virtual event will take place on September 13 and 14, featuring a fully interactive expo floor, networking chat rooms and a high-profile lineup of panelists. Among the topics to be discussed are the exploration of new markets and operator diversification through digitization. SiGMA Americas will explore the market’s open–door approach to innovation with its well-established landscape through a series of panel discussions and keynotes.

Among the discussions is “The Impact of Federalisation & Fragmentation in LatAm,” which will be held on September 14. Online gaming and sportsbook operators face many challenges in the region due to the various laws and regulations, which change from country to country. Betcris’s Garita will participate in the panel, providing his expertise and knowledge about the changing landscape and how operators can more successfully navigate the system to rapidly integrate their services in new areas.

Alongside Garita will be Karen Marcela Sierra-Hughes, Gaming Laboratories International’s VP of LatAm & Caribbean and Gameplan Gametech CEO André Faure. The discussion will be moderated by Michael Muscat, a Partner at Helix Partners & iGaming Columbia. Garita has been a regular participant in SiGMA events, offering invaluable insight into the changing iGaming space across Latin America.

The event is being held virtually due to ongoing COVID-19 issues, but will still offer the same format participants are familiar with. According to SiGMA, “The Americas Virtual expo floor brings a carefully curated digital display of the products and solutions leading the market. This high-energy exposition offers a direct line to some of the top brands in the business – making it an ideal place for networking and deal-making opportunities. Interactive chat box features, and digital product displays make this virtual expo floor stand out.”
