Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, the sports gambling and gaming industries were rapidly evolving to meet new demand. Across all of Latin America (LatAm), gaming entertainment of all types had been growing in popularity, but the coronavirus situation brought even more growth, especially for the online segments. With constant and significant movement being seen, the gaming industry is undergoing major changes and is constantly holding events and conferences to help shape the future. One of these is the upcoming EGR (eGaming Review) Power LatAm Virtual Summit 2021.
On hand to help event participants understand how LatAm gaming operators are responding to the changes will be Fernando Garita, the Head of Business Development for LatAm’s leading sports gambling and gaming operator, Betcris.
The upcoming summit is an invitation-only event designed to draw attention to the growing interest and popularity of the LatAm eGaming market. Participation by companies either already working in the space or by those interested in getting involved is recommended, and it is a great opportunity for industry players to make contact with senior gaming executives to expand their operational networks. Because the event caters to the LatAm market, it will be in Spanish, but Portuguese and English translation options are available.
Betcris has been fundamental in helping guide LatAm’s direction as it works to create a seamless and transparent gaming industry. Because regulations differ from country to country throughout the region, one of the goals of Betcris has been to help foster an environment of regulatory consistency that allows operators to enter new markets with less confusion, ensuring that they can meet all the demands and requirements necessary to be a responsible operator.
Betcris has also been heavily involved in helping the gaming industry innovate and offer an enhanced user experience to the entire region. Because of that activity, Garita will participate in the Power LatAm Virtual Summit’s panel on innovation, entitled The next wave of innovation in Latam: Trends that are pushing the boundaries in product innovation and who to target. The session will be moderated by José Miguel Chueca, the owner of JMC Gaming Consultants, and includes participation by Betsson Group’s commercial director for Southern Europe and Latin America, Andrea Rossi.
The virtual summit will be held on February 10, starting at 10:30 AM GMT, with the session on innovation to run from 4:40 PM to 5:15 GMT. Because the summit is by invitation only, access will be limited to those who have been invited; however, EGR is accepting requests from industry individuals who want to be included.
